We’re bringing you a major update for Whispers of The Eyeless. What’s changing? We encourage you to watch the video right away, in which Michał “Venris” Cieczko—the Game Director—talks about what’s new in Patch 1.1!
It’s primarily about late-game balance and gameplay improvements. The biggest change in the game—and one you’ll notice right away—is the Tales panel rework. Thanks to the new options, navigation should be less frustrating and more intuitive. This also means you can end the day with a lower passive threat level by skipping Tales. In reviews and feedback on Discord, you’ve also mentioned that the game’s difficulty starts to drop too much as you level up and gain skills. We’re here to help! We’ve decided to implement a rebalance to maintain the difficulty level while preventing the game from reaching a plateau too quickly. In addition to adjusting the costs of various items, some bosses in the game may now be more challenging.

Sanctum
- Tales panel reworked to 3 different options - Tales, Preach Tales and Ending the Day. Last option is new and allows to end the day without need to go on Tales.
- Altar panel Gods, Tasks and Influence merged into one panel for better clarity.
- All rooms received quick shortcuts to their sections when hovering over room scrolls in sanctum.
- Callings creation cost changed to 10/20 Secrets (up from 6/12).
- Item crafting cost changed to 10/20 Supplies (up from 5/10).
- Lesser Artifacts upgrade cost changed to 20 Supplies (up from 10).
- City shops prices increased to 200 Gold (up from 100 Gold).
Tales
- Threat passive decrease changed to -1 per day (down from -2 per day).
- Info about Ailments effects added to more places where they appear.
- Tales rewards rebalanced on all tiers to make sure that late game rewards dont explode in loot that fast.
- Cost of all abilities increased by +5 Sanity.
- Cost of all archetypes increased by +50 Whispers.
- Valour, Knowledge and Purity minibosses received one empowered stance each.
Stances
- All defensive stances Block values increased by +25%.
- Rend, Debilitate and Daze offensive stances received Block Damage +2 and increase in base ailment apply.
- Hex offensive stance Sanity Damage increased to +5 (up from +4).
- Foresight, Brutality and Slash offensive stances received Sanity Damage +2.
- Guard Break offensive stance received Block +4, Damage reduction removed from Empowered version.
- Denial support stance received Apply Corrode +2.
- Invocation support stance received Apply Bleed +2.
- Abnormality support stance received Apply Mania +3.
- Abyssal Tempo support stance received Enemy Special -1 and Block increase to +6 (up from +4).
- Void Tempo support stance received Special +1 and Block increase to +6 (up from +4).
- Witness Me support stance received Sanity +4.
- Scarred support stance Sanity Damage increased to +4 (up from +2)
